HOW PERFORMANCE LEARNING HELPED ST Edward’s OXFORD

St Edwards School, Oxford have been using Performance Learning to support their learners using the Performance Learning Assessment (FORESIGHT), Performance Learning Online Pathways for their learners (SOAR) and Performance Learning Coaching (TRANSFORM)

The first step in their journey was for their learners to complete the Performance Learning Assessment, this was overseen by the team at the school with a focus on the 4th and 5th form. After the assessments were completed the assessment results were debriefed by Performance learning with the team at the school. During this debrief, the school were able to deep dive into the results and see how each learner had performed in their self-assessment.

HOW The Performance Learning Assessment HELPED identify barriers to learning

As a next step learners were given access to bespoke Performance Learning online learning pathways to support them improve in areas identified as needing a boost from their self-assessment. A cohort of learners was also identified to receive Performance Learning Coaching. This focus was on 4th and 5th form learners and coaching ranged from large group sessions with a mix of learners to small group sessions. The focus for the learners was on supporting improvement in exams through teaching revision techniques to help enhance performance and keep overwhelm at bay. Techniques were all delivered to be implemented using existing curriculum content so learners could implement their new skills using their existing schoolwork.
